Method

Four rules before a contract.

  1. 01

    Name the failure

    What breaks at 2am, who notices, and what they can actually do next. If that sentence is fuzzy, the build will be too.

  2. 02

    Fix the shape first

    Types, schemas, and account layouts before screens. A pretty view of a bad shape just hides the bug.

  3. 03

    A slice a stranger can run

    README, one happy path, one ugly path. If it only works on my machine, it does not work.

  4. 04

    Notes beside the code

    Operating notes live in the repo. No lore deck that drifts away from what shipped.

Two opinions the work is built on.

Invalid JSON is a bug, not a vibe

Models will swear a payload is fine. The useful behavior is a loop: validate, name the exact failure, try again, and fail the build if it never lands. If an agent cannot return the shape you asked for, it should not return.

The RPC is part of the product

A Solana app that calls a public endpoint from the browser is borrowing someone else’s uptime. Put rate limits, readable errors, and account-change webhooks in one place. The frontend gets smaller. The failure gets a name.
